The beauty of Moc-a-Tek Lake is reason enough to stop by. Moc-a-Tek Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. There are swamps here too; Finn Swamp is around here; nearby you hit upon the Brown Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Moc-a-Tek Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Mocatek Campground is a nice site for that, and Briar Hill is picturesque | |

and can be seen from here. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Moc-a-Tek Lake. A splendid site for whitewater paddling near Moc-a-Tek Lake is Middle Creek - Lackawaxen Tributary.
Any time is a wonderful time at Moc-a-Tek
Lake if you like the outdoors. It's a perfect idea to stop at Purdy Creek, it's in the vicinity of Moc-a-Tek Lake, and a good nearby hotel is Caesars Cove Haven. Wallenpaupack Creek - East Branch is a perfect whitewater spot near
Moc-a-Tek Lake; going for a hike on the West Branch Bruce Lake Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Gotta ski! Ski Big Bear is a great spot to do that; Paupackan Lake is a brilliant lake nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. At
Moc-a-Tek Lake you always meet someone from East Stroudsburg, and there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the Boundary Trail. Moc-a-Tek Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Secluded Acres Campground is a splendid
local campground, and after a long day outdoors Tanglewood (Vri) is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two.
