Mirror Lake is not the only place close by, Echo Lake is a close by lake, and Mirror Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Forbes Trail Camp is a fine local campground. Summertime highs at Mirror Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in       the 30's while the cold winter nights at Mirror Lake are in the 10's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mirror Lake a wet spot; July is when you get the most rain here; February on the other hand is the driest. There's so much to do here at Mirror Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mirror Lake Resort is a great place for that; dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn & Suites Blairsville. Any time is a magnificent time at Mirror Lake if                  you have a thing about the outdoors. Everybody close by loves skiing at Hidden Valley, and Conemaugh River is a good whitewater spot close by. If the weather is nice here at Mirror Lake, you can go for a hike along the Laurel Highlands Trail, and you can run the rapids of Tubmill Creek. This lake is so wonderful. The Clark Run Trail is a nice hiking trail in the neighborhood of Mirror Lake, and after a long day outdoors Ramada Inn At Historic Ligonier is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. A lake close by is Tubmill Reservoir, and The Springs at Laurel Mountain is a fine local ski area. There is a wonderful hiking trail in close proximity to Mirror Lake called the Roger Mountain Trail, and getting to Hendricks Creek from Mirror Lake is painless.
