During the summer here at Minehart Reservoir, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Minehart Reservoir plunge into the 10's. Kishacoquillas Creek is a great whitewater spot next to Minehart Reservoir, and there is a splendid hiking       trail close by called the Longfellow Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Locust Campground is always a wonderful experience, and Minehart Reservoir is a location with many visitors from Lewistown. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Take a little journey to East Minehart Run if you're here at Minehart Reservoir; after a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. You don’t have to go far from Minehart                  Reservoir to make out the water at Minehart Dam; the skiing at Tussey Mountain is good. A normal amount of rain falls here at Minehart Reservoir; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month of the year is January. A wonderful close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Burnham/Lewistown Area, and the Flat Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful.
