Not far from Minehart Reservoir you acquire some magnificent water scenery at Minehart Dam, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a fine site to spend a night or two. Going for a hike on the Longfellow Trail is always a glorious adventure; you can go for a hike on the Footbridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are some fine whitewater spots on Kishacoquillas       Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Idle Acres Camping Area is a perfect spot to camp. So many cool things in the neighborhood of Minehart Reservoir, truly inspiring. There is a great hiking trail near Minehart Reservoir called the Flat Trail; a fine nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Burnham/Lewistown Area. Tussey Mountain is a very popular ski area nearby, and East Minehart Run is close to Minehart Reservoir and is always a delight to explore.                  At Minehart Reservoir throughout the summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are commonly in the 60's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 30's, and overnight lows at Minehart Reservoir during the wintertime ordinarily fall into the 10's. Here at Minehart Reservoir there are plenty of folks from Lewistown, and why not camp at Locust Campground since you're here at Minehart Reservoir.
