It's always fun to stop by Milburn Spring Reservoir. Hiking along the Reservoir Trail is tremendous fun; it's a great idea to stop at Cumberland Valley Run. The yearly rainfall here at Milburn Spring Reservoir is about average; through the month of June you get the most rain around here while October is commonly the driest month.  | 18 miles away 1 PHOTO Drive a another mile until you cross the rail tracks and make a quick left down a dirt rd that follows the rail track. Follow 200yrd until you reach the train observation deck and park here. Cross the tracks and look at the wounderful 3 shelf drop. If you would like to run it, head right down throught trail above fall. Start river right and work to left as you exit last shelf. watch the nice keeper and the bottem left at very high water.... Water between fairhope and hyndman is full of bolders and water depths drop a lot in summer months. i advice that rafting should be done in the spring.... |
