This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. A lake close by is Indian Lake, and close by you locate the Foxs Path which is a good hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Middle Creek Reservoir is not the only site close by, Spring Lake is a close by lake. Middle Creek Dam is not far at all from Middle Creek Reservoir, and at Middle Creek Reservoir you always meet someone from       Lancaster. The Blue Blazed Trail is a fine hiking trail near Middle Creek Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Akron is a great location to spend a night or two. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Middle Creek Reservoir reach the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Middle Creek Reservoir tend to                  be in the 10's. Camping is available at Starlite Camping Resort, and Scottish Inns Ephrata is a magnificent location to get some rest. Don't forget to take a good little trip to Elders Run; why not camp at Refreshing Mountain Camp while you're here at Middle Creek Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. There is a splendid hiking trail close to Middle Creek Reservoir called the Werts Path, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Blue Marsh if you're here.
