Mercersburg Reservoir is a lake in the vicinity; if you come at the right time of year, Big Cove Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express BREEZEWOOD. Lakes are great; Beaverdam Pond is a lake that's near Meadow Grounds Lake, and nearby you stumble on the Lockard Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. An average amount of rain falls       at Meadow Grounds Lake; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be. On a wonderful day at Meadow Grounds Lake you can take a hike along the Pittman Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Saunderosa Park is a splendid place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Breezewood Campgrounds is a great local campground,                  and if you need a site to stay Howard Johnson is a pleasant choice. Meadow Grounds is a great place to check out, and there's always Meadow Grounds Dam to go to near Meadow Grounds Lake. All through the warm months at Meadow Grounds Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Meadow Grounds Lake.
