Meshoppen Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot near McKinney Pond, and Montrose Country Club is a good golf course close by.       This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Pinnacle Trail, and McKinney Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Shore Forest Campground is a brilliant local campground. Be careful coming to McKinney Pond, you might not ever want to go back home again. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Elk Mountain is right next door to McKinney Pond, and a good place to camp here at McKinney Pond is Sunrise Lake Family Campgrnds.
