It's always fun to stop by McGowans Lake. Super 8 Motel Uniontown Pa is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the Great Gorge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Meadow Run, and going for a hike on the Mile Trail is always a fine adventure.

Why not camp at Rivers Edge Family Campground while you're here at McGowans Lake; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Seven Springs since you're here. Any time is a good time at McGowans Lake if you love the outdoors. Some close by water includes Elk Rock Run, and a delightful site for whitewater paddling is Indian Creek.
