Go to McElhattan Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. Jamison Run is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting, and nearby you locate the Erron Trail which is a fine hiking trail. After a long day outdoors Best Western Lock Haven is a perfect location to spend a night or two, and you might also want to pay a visit to Hopple Hollow if you're here at McElhattan Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful place to camp here at McElhattan

Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Lamar; you can run the rapids of Larrys Creek. The Smeltz Pond Trail is a nice hiking trail close to McElhattan Reservoir; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Sulphur Spring.

trail close by called the Nittany Mountain Trail. McElhattan Reservoir gets a normal amount of rain; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; January on the other hand is the driest. This site rocks, just explore all
the entertaining stuff to do close to McElhattan Reservoir. Camping is available at Woodward Cave and Campground, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Elk Creek.
High temperatures at McElhattan Reservoir during
the warmest time of the year are in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows during the winter for McElhattan Reservoir tend to be in the 10's.
