Lake McClure is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Hidden Valley Camping Resort is a brilliant local campground; there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Bear Gap Trail. Lake McClure gets a great deal of water; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months       is January. This lake is so wonderful. The Buffalo Mountain Trail is a delightful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lake McClure. High temperatures at Lake McClure throughout the days of summer are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Lake McClure tend to be in the 10's. Visit Coal Run since you're here at Lake McClure, and                  a journey to Lake McClure wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Chambers Spring.
