Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Maple Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Maple Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Maple Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Buttermilk Falls Campground is a brilliant place for       that, and get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Loyalsock Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out Maple Lake Dam if you're here at Maple Lake, and a magnificent close by hotel is Hampton Inn Sayre. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great planet it would be. Blackwater Run is a lovely stream that is worth checking out; hiking along the Scar Run Trail is pleasant fun. If you need a place to stay Comfort                  Inn Wysox is a pleasant choice, and Williams Lake is a great lake close by. Maple Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Pioneer Campground is a great local campground; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Elk Creek. Maple Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; June is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
