Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Lake Kewanee, and paddling on Lackawanna River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Manataka Lake you can play some golf at Lakeland Golf Club, and Baylors Lake Dam is a spot that is in close proximity to Manataka Lake. Elk Mountain is a very popular ski area in close proximity; there's pleasant hiking along the Pinnacle Trail. Some close by water includes Kennedy

| | Creek, and you can hit the slopes at Montage Mountain in close proximity. Spring Brook has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and camping at How Kola Camp is always a great experience. So much cool stuff to do at Manataka Lake, so little time. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Manataka Lake; Refuge Trail is a nice local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Manataka Lake a wet site; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Manataka Lake. For the period
of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Manataka Lake.
