Mack Lake mostly gets lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout June while February is typically the driest month. The slopes of Montage Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Refuge Trail. Going for a hike on the Choke       Creek Trail is always a good adventure; a great place to camp here at Mack Lake is How Kola Camp. Summertime highs at Mack Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mack Lake. Cobbs Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out; a good close by hotel is Comfort Inn Clarks Summit. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff                  close to Mack Lake. On a tremendous day at Mack Lake you can take a hike along the Pinnacle Trail, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Clarks SummitScranton is a nice place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Elk Mountain; get yourself into a kayak and hit Spring Brook. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Looking for something near Mack Lake? Gravel Pond is close at hand; the summit of Griffin Hill can be distinguished from Mack Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are swamps here too; Corby Swamp is nearby, as expected you could also have a look at Fords Lake while you're here; it's not far at all.
