The beauty of Lower Lake is reason enough to stop by. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lower Lake. The top of Tar Knob is easily seen from Lower Lake, and nearby you hit upon the Snow Shanty Trail which is a fine hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lower Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Ledgedale Recreation Area is a good site for that; since you might be in a lake visiting

| | mood you can always explore close by Lake Jamie. This lake is so wonderful. There is a splendid hiking trail in close proximity to Lower Lake called the Burley Inlet Trail, and do check out Skytop Dam if you're here.
Really glorious skiing awaits you at Mount Airy Lodge; Buck Hill Falls CO Golf Club is a tremendous golf course close by. Shadowbrook Resort is a wonderful place to get some rest, and going for a hike on the Boundary Trail is always a great adventure.

A nice close by hotel is Skytop Lodge; there are plenty of folks from East Stroudsburg here at Lower Lake. Be careful coming to Lower Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of
Wallenpaupack Creek - East Branch, and Indian Ladder Falls is a glorious local attraction. You can run the rapids of Paradise Creek in close proximity to Lower Lake, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Alpine Mountain.
Lower Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here; February is when it's the driest. Summer at Lower Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's; through summer nights
temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter highs are usually in the 20's while Lower Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Lower Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Lindenmere Sports & Arts center is a nice local campground; a journey to Delaware National Scenic River is worthwhile.
