This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is RPAMI - Red Carpet Inn Milford, and don't leave Lower Birchwood Lake without first going for a hike along the Maple Brook Trail. You can run the rapids of Raymondskill Creek near Lower Birchwood Lake, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Tanglwood       since you're here. Nyce Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and going for a hike on the Flat Ridge Trail is always a great adventure. An average amount of rainfall falls at Lower Birchwood Lake; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. Through the summer highs here at Lower Birchwood Lake get into the 70's with night lows in the 50's.
