If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lackawanna River, and a fine nearby hotel is Caesars Cove Haven. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Ski Big Bear around here, and you'll hit upon a pretty lake called Glass Pond Number Three. Long Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; of all       the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. You can take a little visit to Long Pond Dam since you're here at Long Pond, and do take a hike on the Blooming Grove Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Lorain Golf Club is a golf course next to Long Pond, and hiking along the Boundary Trail is great fun. Mount Tone has nice slopes and a friendly staff,                  and Middle Creek - Lackawaxen Tributary is a good whitewater spot nearby. A pretty lake like Rosner Pond close to Long Pond is a perfect spot to explore, and Tanglewood (Vri) is a great place to get some rest. Camping is available at Valleyview Farm and Campground. During the summertime months here at Long Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's.
