If you need a location to stay Shawnee Village Resort is a good choice, and why not take a little spree to Wolfs Spring Run since you're here. Lots of folks from East Stroudsburg come to Long Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lakeside Trail. You can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Big Boulder, and if you came to camp Fern Ridge Campground       is a good location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Boulder Field Trail; after a long day outdoors Best Western Inn at Blakeslee-Pocono is a great location to spend a night or two. At Long Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Long Pond. Don't                  you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Long Pond. You can run the rapids of Tunkhannock Creek close to Long Pond, and camping at WT Family Camping is always a wonderful experience. The view of Pimple Hill from Long Pond is lovely, and a brilliant location for whitewater paddling is Lehigh River. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Long Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Lost Lakes is in the neighborhood, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Long Pond; Camelback Trail is a great local trail.
