Locust Lake is a good location of normal precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain while January is generally the driest month. Throughout the long summer days here at Locust Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the       50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are frequently in the 20's, and night lows in the 10's for Locust Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Locust Lake you can play some golf at Split Rock Country Club; the Boulder Field Trail is a nice hiking trail close by. Camping is available at WT Family Camping, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Refuge Trail. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Split Rock is in the neighborhood of Locust                  Lake, and you're possibly keen on lakes, East Lake is one of those nearby. People from East Stroudsburg love to come to Locust Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Bear Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Fern Ridge Campground is a great place to camp, and the snow is tremendous at Big Boulder. Why not visit nearby Tripup Run while you're here at Locust Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Shawnee Village Resort is a good choice. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Locust Lake, too good to be true. Drift down the rapids of Tunkhannock Creek in a kayak. Lakes are fine; North Arrowhead Lake is a lake that's near Locust Lake. Yeah, come here to Locust Lake for a good time.
