Locklin Pond is a wet site that gets a good deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. If you need a place to stay Caesars Cove Haven is a magnificent choice; a great place for whitewater paddling is Wallenpaupack Creek - East Branch. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is Tanglewood (Vri); Locklin Pond Dam is a       beautiful spot. Locklin Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Locklin Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lake Mocatek Campground, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Finn Swamp is right close by. This lake is so wonderful. On a nice day at Locklin Pond you can take a hike along the Boundary Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Tanglwood. There's so much                  to do here at Locklin Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Secluded Acres Campground is a good site for that, and get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Middle Creek - Lackawaxen Tributary. Take a little trip to Purdy Creek while you're here at Locklin Pond, and the Brown Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. You're possibly hooked on lakes, Moc-a-Tek Lake is one of those close by; Briar Hill is clearly visible from Locklin Pond. The slopes of Ski Big Bear are so inviting noone can resist, and this is a popular place for folks from East Stroudsburg. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Near Locklin Pond you find the White Deer Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and if you've had enough of Locklin Pond, Craft Pond is nearby. High temperatures at Locklin Pond throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
