Lily Number One Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Camping is available at Wright's Orchard Station Campground, and if you need a place to stay Red Carpet Inn & Suites Ebensburg is a wonderful choice. Gotta ski! Blue Knob is a magnificent place to do that; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Conemaugh River. At Bear Rock Dam One close to Lily Number One Reservoir there are some out of the ordinary things to see. This lake is so wonderful. visit, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Lost Turkey Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here, you might as well have a look at Big Spring Gap, and there's whitewater on Bobs Creek for all you thrill
seekers. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. You could also pop by Lilly Number Two Reservoir if you're here at Lily Number One Reservoir; it's close by; camping at Blue Knob State Park is always a magnificent experience.
Going for a hike on the John P Saylor Trail is always a glorious adventure; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Duncansville is a great location to spend a night or two. The high level of rainfall makes Lily Number One Reservoir
a reasonably wet spot; most of the rain falls during July, and October is when it's the driest. High temperatures at Lily Number One Reservoir through the long summer days are in the 80's, and the night is a bit colder of course,
ordinarily in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's while Lily Number One Reservoir nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.

 | I stayed on the first night of the 2006 operating season (as advertised) and was really impressed. The campground, bath houses, and laundry facilities were very clean and modern. I was travelling in a 37' Class A and had site #1. The outer sites look to be the best for larger rigs - even though the pull throughs are in the middle, several large trees look like they would make it difficult to get a good postion on the site. No real activities, but a nice quiet place that is close to downtown Altoona and it's activities. Would definately stay again the next time we're in town.... |
