Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Somerset Super 8 Motel is a nice place to get some rest; the East End Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. During the warm months here at Ligonier Reservoir, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Ligonier       Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Duck Pond is right next door to Ligonier Reservoir, and there's whitewater on Loyalhanna Creek for all you adrenaline people. Man, is there lots of fun things to do in close proximity to Ligonier Reservoir. Ligonier Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Somerset. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Ramada Inn At Historic Ligonier                  is a wonderful choice; The Springs at Laurel Mountain has nice slopes and a friendly staff. If the weather is gorgeous, you obtain a wonderful view of Gravel Hill from Ligonier Reservoir, and don't forget to take a good little tour to Furnace Run. There's so much to do here at Ligonier Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Pioneer Park Campground is a good place for that, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Tubmill Creek. If the weather is nice here at Ligonier Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Darr Trail, and Hidden Valley is a very popular ski area nearby. Ligonier Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; throughout the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. Going for a hike along the Brant Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Ligonier Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Forbes Trail Camp.
