If the weather is fine here at Lewis Lake, you can go for a hike along the Rattling Run Trail, and a picturesque lake like Round Top Impoundment is a great location to visit. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do close to Lewis Lake. Lewis Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. This lake is so wonderful. During your trip to Lewis Lake you'll meet some folks from York-Hanover for sure; Lewis Lake is a tremendous spot to visit for

Codorus Creek is a tremendous whitewater spot near Lewis Lake, and a tour to Lewis Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Conewago Falls. A common amount of rain falls here at Lewis Lake; the month with most of the rain is May; January is when it's the driest. Gateway is a splendid spot to get some rest. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 80's at Lewis Lake, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter highs are in
the 30's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Lewis Lake tend to be in the 20's. Have a good hiking adventure along the Horseshoe Trail; you can stay the night at Hershey Conewago Campground. Why not spend some time
golfing at a nearby golf course like Sunset Golf Course, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Darlington Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Conewago Creek - East near Lewis Lake; Lake Frederic
is a splendid lake close by. If only every spot had this much outdoors fun things, what a great earth it would be. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Roundtop is close to Lewis Lake; a pleasant nearby hotel is Hampton Inn York PA.

Downside is the noise of the Turnpike which is so close you could touch it. If you are a heavy sleeper, this is the place for you! Otherwise, try to get a site as far away from the tpk as possible... even then, you still hear the rumble but not as much.... |
