It's always fun to stop by Laurelridge Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Pioneer Park Campground is a great campground nearby; the smiling people of Somerset like to hang out nearby. Take a hike on the Spruce Run Trail, and swing by Crab Run it's a good location to pop by. At Laurelridge Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the

| | 10's overnight here at Laurelridge Lake. Hidden Valley is a perfect local ski area, and Laurel Ridge Dam is a delightful site, beyond doubt worth checking out. Laurelridge Lake commonly gets a good deal of rainfall; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. Hidden Lake Campground is a great local campground, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; The Springs at Laurel Mountain is rather near. Not | |

far from Laurelridge Lake, you'll hit upon Laurel Hill Creek Reservoir which is a gorgeous lake, and drift down the rapids of Quemahoning Creek in a kayak. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are really plentiful here at Laurelridge Lake.
Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Wolf Rocks Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Somerset Knights Inn. Somerset Super 8 Motel is a wonderful place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations
here than Laurelridge Lake, for example Chippewa Lake, and going for a hike along the East End Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.

 | 16 miles away We spent the whole day fishing CGL on 7/27/08, this was my first visit. The lake is only an average of 4 FEET DEEP! We did find an occasional 5 foot spot, but he weeds are right up to the surface making trolling very difficult. We fished the entire lake and used a fish finder thruout, we marked very little fish. We caught 2 largemouth, both around 9 inches. One on a white Houdini worm, one on a top water frog.... |
