Laurel Run Reservoir gets lots of water; through July this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. Camping is available at Woodland Park, and the                  Laurel Highlands Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is glorious here at Laurel Run Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Roger Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Little Conemaugh River is a pleasant whitewater spot right next door to Laurel Run Reservoir, and if you're a golfer then a nice close by course is Pleasant Valley Golf Course.
