Why not stop by Lake Lard if you're passing through these parts. There is a magnificent hiking trail close to Lake Lard called the Darling Road Trail; you could always discover Compound Hollow. There are good places to discover along the Scotch Pine Hollow Trail, and Lake Lard is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Stony Fork Creek Campground is a splendid location to camp nearby. | | through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake Lard.
This lake is so wonderful. Lake Lard gets a typical amount of yearly rain; June is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is January. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stony Fork Creek, and a day on the slopes of Ski Sawmill is just what you need.

If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Mansfield is a nice choice, and let's not forget Asaph Run which is a stream that you may come across during your stay. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. The view of wonderful
Mount Nesmuk near Lake Lard is good. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Lard has to offer, you can camp at Hills Creek State Park. Going for a hike on the Left Strait Run Trail is always a perfect adventure, and get dripping wet paddling on Pine Creek.
