Camping is available at How Kola Camp; Summit Lake is a nice lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. Montage Mountain is a very popular ski area close at hand, and one of the main traits of the surroundings of Lance Pond is Captain White Hill. And that's not all you can do here at Lance Pond. Whitewater paddling       is great on Lackawanna River, and near Lance Pond you find a golf course called Summit Hills Golf Course. All through the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 70's at Lance Pond with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Lance Pond temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Choke Creek Trail is tremendous fun; the best way to spend a winter                  day is on the slopes of close by Elk Mountain. Lance Pond is right by the Refuge Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Highland Camp Ground is a pleasant site to camp. The Pinnacle Trail offers hiking at its best, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Clarks Summit is a glorious location to spend a night or two. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the area right next door to Lance Pond has to offer. A charming lake like Gravel Pond near Lance Pond is a great place to visit, and dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Clarks SummitScranton. Lance Pond frequently gets a good deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is June while February is generally the driest month.
