There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Wallenpaupack Creek; it's a glorious idea to check out Laurel Run. At Lake in the Clouds during the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lake in the Clouds are in the 10's. Lake in the Clouds       sees pretty high levels of rain; during the month of June you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Have a great hiking adventure along the Snow Shanty Trail, and do take a hike on the Burley Inlet Trail. Do stop at Lake Jamie near Lake in the Clouds, it's a striking lake, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Alpine Mountain.                  This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Boundary Trail is brilliant fun, and you can hit the slopes at Mount Airy Lodge in the neighborhood. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Wallenpaupack Creek - East Branch, and you'll stumble on a delightful lake called Lake Jamie. Now, you may imagine that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Lake in the Clouds. After a long day outdoors Shadowbrook Resort is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and this is a popular spot for people from East Stroudsburg. Camp Pocono Ridge is a great campground nearby, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Buck Hill Falls CO Golf Club is in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Lake in the Clouds is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Ledgedale Recreation Area is a great spot to camp nearby, and a great close by hotel is Skytop Lodge.
