Any time is a pleasant time at Lake Wanoka if you like the outdoors. Countryside Family Campground is a nice local campground; don't forget to take a magnificent little trip to Collins Brook. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Lake Wanoka. Throughout the warm months at Lake Wanoka highs are generally in the 70's, and the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, regularly in the 50's.
