Go to Lake Walter if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Clarks Summit is a good choice. While you're here at Lake Walter you can play some golf at MTN Maples Public Golf Course, and whitewater paddling is great on Meshoppen Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Pinnacle Trail, and Lake Walter Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Tunkhannock is a brilliant campground nearby, and needless to say North Branch Meshoppen Creek flows through this area. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lake
Walter with overnight lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Lake Walter temperatures plunge to the 10's. The peak of Avery Hill can be observed from Lake Walter, and lots of folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre come here.
