The yearly rainfall here at Lake Saxony is about average; June is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Mountain Top Bluegrass is a splendid local campground, and great skiing awaits you at Boyce Park. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Pine Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Smith Grove Camp Grounds is       a pleasant spot to camp. For the period of the long summer days at Lake Saxony temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake Saxony. This place, Lake Saxony, it just has so much outdoors exciting stuff. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Butler is a great spot to spend a night or two; you're sure to bump                  into some smiling people from Pittsburgh here. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling close to Lake Saxony is Bear Creek - Allegheny River Tributary; Lake Saxony Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out.
