If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lake Rene. Hiking along the Old '56' Trail is nice fun, and as expected, this is a great area for folks who like lakes, Pine Lake is a lake around here. A great nearby hotel is SUPER 8 MOTEL - JOHNSTOWN, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Wolf Rocks Trail. A tremendous location to camp here at Lake Rene is Shawnee Sleepy Hollow Campground, and hey, Gotta ski right? Blue Knob is a good place to do

| | that. Paddling on Clear Shade Creek is so much fun, and after a long day outdoors Sleep Inn Johnstown is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Just can't get enough of Lake Rene. Why not visit Lake Rene Dam while you're here, and people from Johnstown love to come here. Summertime highs at Lake Rene typically tend to be in the 80's. Rene; July is the month that gets the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Choice Camping Court since you're here at Lake Rene, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Windber Reservoir.
