Visit East Branch Codorus Creek if you're here at Lake Redman. There's so much to do here at Lake Redman that you need to camp here for a while, Indian Rock Campgrounds is a good site for that. Lake Redman gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is January. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Lake Redman. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for

| | you then we recommend Susquehanna River; if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express York is a nice choice. There are some good whitewater spots on Codorus Creek, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from York-Hanover for sure. A lake close by is York Reservoir; why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Out Door Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. is good enough to spend more than a day at, Ben Franklin RV Park is a good local campground. Country Inn & Suites By Carlson York is a wonderful place to get some rest, and Lake Redman is not the only spot nearby, Lake Williams
is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Very fine water scenery is available at York Water Company Dam in the neighborhood of Lake Redman, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Ski Roundtop. All through the summer
at Lake Redman temperatures are generally in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's; night lows in the 20's for Lake Redman.

Gunpowder Falls
 | 12 miles away OK so after checking this one out today I was sorely disappointed. it is in no way a II-III, more like a slow moving I, not even a I-II. Also the put in location is on some private property farm so good luck getting in the water at some point where the river isn't congested down into drainage ditches going under the small roads in this area. I highly recommend some of the other gunpowder rivers however, great fun, just not this stretch.... |
