Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Tunkhannock Creek, and some close by water includes Davey Run. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Lake Onocup. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows at Lake Onocup through the winter generally descend into the 10's. That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Lake Onocup has it all. You're sure to run into some friendly folks

| | from East Stroudsburg here. Hit the slopes at Big Boulder close by, and Lake Onocup is right by the Refuge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Split Rock, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Boulder Field Trail. Get covered with water paddling on Lehigh River, and since you're here, you could also visit striking Pilgrim Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Onocup. Best Western | |

Inn at Blakeslee-Pocono is a glorious spot to get some rest, and Lake Onocup is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, WT Family Camping is a pleasant local campground. If you're here at Lake Onocup and you like golf, you
can explore Split Rock Country Club; dry warm beds await you at Shawnee Village Resort. Do stop by Lake Guenevere in close proximity to Lake Onocup, it's a beautiful lake, and Pocono Lake Dam is a pretty location, absolutely worth
visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Onocup; Choke Creek Trail is a great local trail, and camping at Fern Ridge Campground is always a brilliant experience. An average amount of rain
falls at Lake Onocup; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest.
