Go to Lake Meade if you want to go to a nice lake. Drift down the rapids of Bermudian Creek in a kayak, and at Lake Meade Dam in the neighborhood of Lake Meade there are some interesting things to see. From a precipitation point of view Lake Meade is a reasonably common place; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is February. Camping at Hershey's Fur Center is always a good experience, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Dillsburg is a great site to spend a night or two. Meade, too good to be true. If you came to camp Dillsburg Koa Kampground is a great spot to do that; get yourself into a kayak and hit Beaver Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Maple Hollow Trail is always
a wonderful adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lake Meade you locate the Scenic Vista Trail which is a splendid hiking trail; the friendly folks of Gettysburg like to hang out close by. There is a good hiking trail close to Lake Meade called the Hammonds Rocks Trail, and needless to say Latimore Creek flows through this area.
