Why not camp at L and M Campgrounds since you're here at Lake Margus, and there's whitewater on Blacklick Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. Laurel Run flows through this area; there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Clark Run Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Indiana, Pa is a great location to spend a night or two. Lakes? Sure,       Laurel Run Lake is close at hand. The warmest time of the year at Lake Margus comes with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Lake Margus overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Be careful coming to Lake Margus, you might not ever want to return home again. Pond Number Four is a magnificent lake in the neighborhood                  of Lake Margus, and Elroy Face Dam is a place that is near Lake Margus. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Laurel Highlands Trail is always a good adventure, and you can run the rapids of Little Mahoning Creek. If you came for an overnight stay L&M Campground is a perfect site to camp; an afternoon playing golf at Cherrywood Golf Course is always a delight. The high level of rain makes Lake Margus a quite wet place; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. Near Lake Margus you locate the Roger Mountain Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail.
