Going for a hike on the Smith Trail is always a magnificent adventure; a lake nearby is Wolf Lake. On a pleasant day at Lake Letterkenny you can take a hike along the Berger Trail. There's so much to do here at Lake Letterkenny that you need to camp here for a       while, Roxbury Holiness Camp is a good site for that. If you come at the right time of year, Antietam Creek - East Branch offers some splendid whitewater; Rocky Spring is always fun to check out. You absolutely have to love Lake Letterkenny. After a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Carlisle, PA is a nice place to spend a night or two; if you get bored of Lake Letterkenny you could also go to close by Rocky Spring Lake. The warmest time                  of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lake Letterkenny, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Lake Letterkenny temperatures fall to the 20's. Lots of folks from Chambersburg come to Lake Letterkenny, and if you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Majestic Ridge Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail near Lake Letterkenny called the Lehman Trail.
