Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Harrisville, and soar down the rapids of Mill Creek - Allegheny R. Tributary in a kayak. Lake Johnston is a wet spot that gets a great deal of precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is commonly the driest month. During the days of summer at Lake Johnston highs are frequently in the 80's. All through       the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Lake Johnston dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Lake Johnston is not far at all from Oil City, and why not stop at nearby Carrs Run while you're here at Lake Johnston. Be careful coming to Lake Johnston, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Lake Johnston is in the vicinity of Johnston Dam which is a lovely                  spot definitely worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Bear Creek - Allegheny River Tributary offers some delightful whitewater, and camping at Marlowe's Scenic River Campground is always a splendid experience.
