Lake John is a wonderful location to visit for more than one day, Red Rock Mountain Campground is a wonderful location to camp nearby; Lake John Dam is a delightful place. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Lake John, you could also go to lovely Lake John, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Loyalsock Creek. Having a good time at Lake John is painless. Don't leave Lake John without first going for a hike along the Pole Bridge Trail, and you can

| | stay the night at Good's Campground. Go for a hike on the Irish Settlement Trail; get drenched paddling on Kitchen Creek. Lake John is a good spot of typical precipitation; throughout June this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Lake John drop into the 10's.
