Many people like to go to Lake Heritage. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Casselman River; why not go to close by Big Laurel Run while you're here at Lake Heritage. Lake Heritage is not the only location nearby, Lake Louise is a nearby lake, and if you need a site to stay Wisp Resort is a great choice. Lake Heritage is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, New Germany State Park is a perfect local campground, and from Lake Heritage you obtain

A good deal of rain falls at Lake Heritage; the month with most of the rain is July while February is frequently the driest month. Be careful coming to Lake Heritage, you might not ever want to return home again. Paddling on Casselman River - North Branch is so much fun, and camping at Double G Campground is always a perfect experience. overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Heritage are in the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Lake Heritage Dam
next to Lake Heritage is lovely, naturally you could also visit Cunningham Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Wisp, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Grantsville.

We spent the whole day fishing CGL on 7/27/08, this was my first visit. The lake is only an average of 4 FEET DEEP! We did find an occasional 5 foot spot, but he weeds are right up to the surface making trolling very difficult. We fished the entire lake and used a fish finder thruout, we marked very little fish. We caught 2 largemouth, both around 9 inches. One on a white Houdini worm, one on a top water frog.... |
