This lake is so wonderful. A delightful location to camp here at Lake Giles is Camp Watonka, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Shohola Creek. The yearly precipitation here at Lake Giles is about average; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is frequently the driest month.

River is recommended. Why not camp at Camp Shohola while you're here at Lake Giles, and if you come at the right time of year, Lackawaxen River offers some delightful whitewater. All the outdoors amusing stuff close to Lake Giles
will keep you coming back repeatedly. A brilliant nearby hotel is The Lodge at Woodloch, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Steam Mill Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Bald Hill can be made out from
Lake Giles, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Blooming Grove Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lake Giles while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are ordinarily
in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lake Giles. Gotta ski! Ski Big Bear is a pleasant site to do that, and on a magnificent day you can visit Beaver Swamp, a swamp close to Lake Giles.
