The yearly rainfall here at Lake Frederic is about average; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Sunset Golf Course, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Corporate Gateway is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. If you came to camp Elizabethtown/Hershey KOA is a glorious       place to do that, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Darlington Trail. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Lake Frederic get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake Frederic. There's so much to do here at Lake Frederic that you need to camp here for a while, Park Away Park is a delightful                  place for that, and Lewis Lake is a glorious lake nearby. The snow is magnificent at Ski Roundtop, and a good spot for whitewater paddling is Codorus Creek. Having a good time at Lake Frederic is easy. If you're visiting Lake Frederic from York-Hanover, you won't be the only one; get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Conewago Creek - East. So many fun things close to Lake Frederic, absolutely fantastic. While you're here at Lake Frederic you can take a hike along the Rattling Run Trail. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not check out Round Top Impoundment near Lake Frederic, and if you need a spot to stay Four Points By Sheraton York is a good choice. York Haven Dam is a site that is next to Lake Frederic, and hiking along the Horseshoe Trail is glorious fun. This lake is so wonderful.
