Paddling on Fourmile Run is so much fun, and a nice nearby hotel is Donegal - Days Inn. The yearly rain here at Lake Donegal is about average; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. If you're a golfer then a glorious close by course is Donegal Highlands Golf Course, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Darr Trail. Summertime brings highs       in the 80's to Lake Donegal while nighttime lows are typically in the 60's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 30's with temperatures at Lake Donegal dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Jacobs Creek, and camping at Laurel Highlands Campland is always a delightful experience. Skiing at Hidden Valley is one of those things you just have to do, and going for a hike along the Brant Trail will let you absorb                  the natural beauty of this vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Lake Donegal. If you came to camp Donegal Campground is a wonderful place to do that; hiking along the Great Gorge Trail is wonderful fun. This lake is so wonderful.
