This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Genetti Hotel & Convention Center is a delightful choice, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Harveys Creek. Lake Catalpa is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Schaffer's Riverside Campgrnd is a tremendous local campground, and going for a hike along the Pinnacle Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Dry warm beds await       you at Ramada Plaza Hotel On-The-Square; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Elstons Pond. Lake Catalpa is a good spot of normal rain; all through June this area sees the most rain while January is ordinarily the driest month. Camping at Stony Mountain Campground is always a tremendous experience, and Bowman Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby. Really great skiing awaits you at Montage Mountain.                  So much exciting stuff to do here at Lake Catalpa, too wonderful to be true. You'll meet a lot of folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre here, and a golf course close by is Twin Oaks Golf Club. Summertime at Lake Catalpa arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
