This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Bowman Creek, obviously you could also explore Posten Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. The yearly rain here at Lake Catalpa is about average; June is the wettest month with most rain; January meanwhile is the driest month.

Catalpa has to offer, you can camp at Schaffer's Riverside Campgrnd, and if you come at the right time of year, Harveys Creek offers some nice whitewater. Summertime at Lake Catalpa arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For
the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Catalpa are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
