At Moraine State Park Dam right next door to Lake Arthur there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and Bear Run Campground is a great local campground. There are plenty of folks from New Castle here at Lake Arthur, and if you came for an overnight stay Cooper's Lake Campground is a good place to camp. Through the summer months highs here at Lake Arthur reach the 80's, and throughout the       night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are generally in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Lake Arthur temperatures dip to the 10's. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Muddy Creek - Slippery Rock Tributary, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Grove City is a fine site to spend a night or two. Lake Arthur is a good location of common rainfall; through the month of June you get the most rain around                  here; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Slippery Rock Creek, and if you need a spot to stay Microtel Inn and Suites Grove City is a nice choice.
