Go to Kyle Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Good hiking is available along the Truman Trail; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Anderson Creek. A quick trip to Beaverdam Run near Kyle Lake is a tremendous idea; you can go for a hike on the Indian Rock Trail. You're sure to come across some good folks from St. Marys here.

The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Kyle Lake descend into the 10's. After a long day outdoors Best Western Inn & Conference Center is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Kyle Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Campers Paradise Campground and Cabins is a magnificent place for that. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Dubois, and you can stay the night at Clearview Camp Grounds.
And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do near Kyle Lake. Don't leave
Kyle Lake without first going for a hike along the McFadden Trail, and a magnificent site for whitewater paddling is Clarion River. Kyle Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; during June this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
