If you are in this part of Pennsylvania make sure to pay a visit to Kooser Lake. Kooser Lake gets a lot of water; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Casselman River in a kayak, and the skiing at Hidden Valley is tremendous. Good hiking is available along the Wolf Rocks Trail, and VanDyke Spring is a good local attraction.

| | Laurel Hill Creek Dam while you're here at Kooser Lake. There's so much to do here at Kooser Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hickory Hollow Camp Ground is a good location for that. Don't forget to take a good little visit to Crise Run, and the Darr Trail offers hiking at its best. Get wet paddling on Laurel Hill Creek, and everyone nearby loves skiing at The Springs at Laurel Mountain.

at Kooser Lake. While you're here at Kooser Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Somerset; you can stay the night at Pioneer Park Campground. If you need a site to stay Ramada Inn At Historic Ligonier is a wonderful choice.
For the duration of the warm months at Kooser Lake highs are usually in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Kooser
Lake are in the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent nearby hotel is Somerset Super 8 Motel, and there's splendid hiking along the Brant Trail.
