Some of the water close by flows, like Nichecronk Brook; if you came for an overnight stay Dingmans Campground is a splendid place to camp. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting things the       area close to Kiel Lake has to offer. Tanglwood is a brilliant local ski area. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Hornbeck's Creek, and if you haven’t been to Delaware National Scenic River, you must schedule some time for it while you're here. A short spree to Deer Leap Falls is always worthwhile; do take a hike on the Bald Hill Trail. Kiel Lake in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. If you need a place to stay Fernwood                  Hotel and Resort is a fine choice, and the Flat Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. RPAMI - Red Carpet Inn Milford is a great site to get some rest, and the skiing at Shawnee Mountain is wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Raymondskill Creek close to Kiel Lake, and Kiel Lake is not the only site nearby, Fawn Lake is a nearby lake. Kiel Lake is right by the Bald Barren Trail, and Resorts USA is a great campground nearby. Summertime highs at Kiel Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is a little colder of course, commonly in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Kiel Lake.
