The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Spring Mountain. Lakes? Sure, Green Valley Farms Lake is in close proximity. This lake is       so wonderful. Kennett Square Golf & Country Club is a glorious golf course nearby, and after a long day outdoors Mendenhall Hotel & Conference Center is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. Kennett Square Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rain; through July this area sees the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. On a good day at Kennett Square Reservoir you can take a hike along the Buzzard Trail; there's some flowing water close                  by, South Brook is a stream you can take a look at while here. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Brandywine Creek - West Branch, and you can stay the night at Koa Philadelphia Westchester. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Red Clay Creek. The Lenade Trail is a splendid hiking trail near Kennett Square Reservoir, and Kennett Square Reservoir is a great place to visit for more than one day, Philadelphia/West Chester KOA is a great place to camp nearby. Summertime at Kennett Square Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's.
