What a place this is for outdoors people. A round of golf at nearby French Creek Golf Club LP is a fine way to kill some time; do take a hike on the Horseshoe Trail. Lakes? Sure, Grace Mine Tailings Reservoir is around here; the Lenade Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Struble Lake is a delightful lake right next door to Jones Millpond; after a long day outdoors       Holiday Inn Morgantown/Pa Tnpk Exit 298 is a nice place to spend a night or two. The high level of precipitation makes Jones Millpond a relatively wet place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Buzzard Trail. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Jones Millpond reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's.                  The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Jones Millpond are in the 10's. Berry Patch Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, and a tremendous close by hotel is RPAMO - Red Carpet Inn & Suites Morgantown. Brandywine Creek - West Branch is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Jones Millpond, and if you came for an overnight stay All Seasons Resorts is a great place to camp.
