Go to Indian Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Jack Frost since you're here, and Indian Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, WT Family Camping is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Split Rock, and Little Shades Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit. Summertime highs at Indian Lake typically tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is fairly cooler of course, usually in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows at Indian Lake all through the wintertime frequently drop into the 10's. There's so much to do here at Indian Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lehigh Gorge Campground is a perfect site for that; during your visit here you'll meet
some folks from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre for sure. The amount of rainfall that falls at Indian Lake is close to the national average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is January. Lehigh
River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn -Pocono Mountain.
Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in close proximity to Indian Lake. Do stop at Kiel lake in close
proximity to Indian Lake, it's a pretty lake, and if you need a place to stay Split Rock Resort is a good choice. Going for a hike along the Choke Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; Indian Lake Dam
is not far at all from Indian Lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bear Creek, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Refuge Trail.
